On August 13 at 13:13, I became the fourth-generation in my family to have a birthday on the 13th of a month: My mom was born on March 13th, my maternal grandmother on September 13th, and my maternal great-grandmother on October 13th, all of us the oldest girls in our families. Needless to say, I don't consider 13 to be an unlucky number.

 

When I was three I boldly proclaimed, "Mom, I'm just a little person who makes people happy." Fourteen years later, I still strive to be just that. Through graphic design, I have the chance to  lift the spirits of those around me and make someone happy by creating something special just for them.

 

Thirteen13 Design Co. is more than my job and the number 13 is more than a number. Both are parts of my identity and manifestations of a legacy whose roots were planted nearly 100 years ago.

 

In June, I will begin the next chapter of my life as a freshman at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. In college, I will study advertising with an emphasis on art directing. At this time, I am still available for freelance work.
